Heroin and cannabis worth €120k seized in Celbridge

A 19-year-old man has been arrested.

THE BALLYFERMOT DRUG Unit carried out a planned search of a property in Celbridge last night, seizing €120,000 worth of illegal substances and arresting a man.

Gardaí found quantities of heroin and cannabis herb at the house in St Patrick’s Park in the centre of the town.

A 19-year-old man was arrested at the scene and is currently being questioned under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. He is being held at Ballyfermot garda station.

The unit described the operation as being intelligence led.
