THE FINAL COUNTDOWN IS on. Christmas is only a few days away and the buying of gifts is well and truly underway.

The streets and jam-packed full of shoppers, but there are some people who avoid all the hassle by shopping online.

This week, concerns were raised about the future of online shopping, with new European Union rules coming in making shoppers have to pay the VAT rate of the country they are resident in, rather than at the rate of the country the retailer is resident in.
