Two men arrested over serious sexual assault in Clondalkin have been released

The two males were released without charge this evening.

TWO MEN ARRESTED over a serious sexual assault on a woman in Clondalkin have been released without charge.

The incident occurred on the Ninth Lock Road at 3.20am yesterday morning and involved three males. It was reported the woman was pulled into a green area by the group of males as she walked along the footpath with her bicycle.

Two men were arrested just after 8am this morning in connection with the sexual assault – one in his late teens and the other in his early 20s. They were arrested in the Ronanstown area of Clondalkin.

Gardaí have now confirmed that they have been released without charge.

Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information about the assault to contact them at Ronanastown Garda Station on 01 666 7700.
