Motorcyclist dies in collision with car

The driver of the car was uninjured following the incident.

A MAN HAS been killed following a collision in Co Meath this evening.

Gardaí said they are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that took place at Millbrook Road, Oldcastle, Co Meath at 5.10pm this evening.

A motorcyclist in his early 50s was killed following a collision with a car. The female driver of the car was uninjured.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Our Lady’s Hospital Navan. A post-mortem examination will be carried out tomorrow.

The road at the scene is closed to facilitate an examination by garda forensic collision investigators.
