Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death.

POLICE IN THE North are trying to work out how a man whose body was found lying in the road died.

The man was found at around 4am on Mountjoy Road at Killeen Village near Coalisland.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death at this stage.

Inspector Neil Beck from the PSNI said:

“The man’s body was found lying in the road at around 4am this morning.

“We are currently working to establish the circumstances surrounding the death and I would appeal to anyone who was travelling in the area in the early hours of this morning and who may have noticed anything which could assist us with our enquiries to contact police in Dungannon on 101.”

The road remains closed.
