Firearm and cocaine worth €70,000 seized in Dublin

A man in his 30s has been arrested.

COCAINE WORTH €70,000 and a firearm have been seized by gardaí in Dublin.

A planned search of a premises at Tolka Estate, Glasnevin was carried out at about 9pm yesterday.

Gardaí from the Finglas District Drugs Unit seized the firearm and cocaine with an estimated value of €70,000, pending analysis.

A man in his mid 30s was arrested a short time later in the Finglas area.

He is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act.
