Large amount of cocaine intercepted at Dublin Port

A 51-year-old man has been arrested.

COCAINE WORTH MORE than €770,000 has been seized from a haulage truck in Dubin Port.

The truck had just arrived at Dublin Port from the Netherlands today when it was intercepted by gardaí and customs service officers.

Around 11 kilos of cocaine were found in total by officers from the drugs and organised crime bureau of An Garda Síochána and from Revenue Customs Service.

A 51-year-old man was arrested for drug trafficking offences and is being detained at Store Street garda station for questioning.
