Cocaine seized from house in Clare

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene after the drugs were found at the Clare house.

COCAINE WORTH AN estimated €20,000 was seized from a house in Clare last night during a search by Gardaí.

A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene after local gardaí carried out a planned examination of a house in Finian Park in the Shannon area. A small amount of cannabis herb was also seized at the scene.

The man is currently detained at Shannon Garda Station.

Gardaí have carried out a number of significant drugs seizures over the past week, including an estimated €1.3 million worth of cannabis plants in Kerry and around €2 million worth of cocaine and heroin from a house in Kildare on Saturday.
