This dog found €240k of cocaine hidden in plane landing at Shannon

The drugs were concealed in the plane’s cabin.

Cocaine in Aircraft

ALMOST A QUARTER of a million euro worth of cocaine has been found hidden on a plane that arrived at Shannon Airport from the United States.

Customs officers say the plane was searched on Easter Sunday with Revenue’s sniffer-dog Ollie uncovering 3.4 kg of cocaine concealed in a panel in the aircraft’s cabin.

The value of the drugs is estimated at €240,000.

Revenue says the plane was searched as a result of “routine profiling” with an international investigation now ongoing into the seizure.
