College Green Luas works to start next week

Get ready for disruption…

TRAFFIC IN DUBLIN’S city centre will be disrupted from next week, as works associated with linking the two Luas lines begins.

The works are being carried out throughout the summer in order to minimise disruption but will still see lane closures.

One northbound traffic lane will be temporarily closed in the College Green area for the duration of the works, with the two existing southbound lanes remaining open throughout.

There will be no changes to car park access in the area.

Gráinne Mackin, Director of Communications for the Luas Cross City scheme said, “While these works in College Green are significant, it’s important that everyone knows that the streets will remain open to all commuters and road users wishing to access car parks and shops in the area can continue to do so.”

“Our aim is to get a balance – between ensuring that the city keeps moving and getting this large construction project completed efficiently.”

Road users are asked to continue to observe the College Green bus corridor times currently in place – from Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am and from 4pm to 7pm.

Dublin Bus services will continue to operate as normal during the works.
