Moving back to travel news, AA Roadwatch has said that loose horses have been removed from the N11 Wexford/Dublin Road northbound between J6 Fassaroe and J5 Bray North.

Do you recognise this photo? Irish Rail is trying to find its owner.

On the weather front, it’s another cold morning.

Met Éireann has said there will be scattered outbreaks of rain today that could turn to sleet at times. Highest temperatures will reach four to six degrees Celsius.

Wrap up warm!

In traffic news, AA Roadwatch has noted that the Clare Road will be closed for works between the Old Limerick Road and Captain Macs Cross in Ennis until Monday. Diversions will be in place.

Meanwhile, Main Street in Patrickswell (R526), Limerick will be closed between Marian Park Estate and Clarina Road until Friday, 3 March for works.

AA Roadwatch says traffic is moving well in Cork city, however it’s still down to one lane at Kent Station following an incident earlier this week.

Traffic is also moving well in Limerick, Galway and Waterford cities.

Here’s the latest on traffic in Dublin, via AA Roadwatch:

  • It’s slow now on the N7 Naas Road inbound from Newlands Cross to the Red Cow Interchange;
  • It’s busy on the Lucan Road inbound from the M50 Interchange to Palmerstown;
  • The North Quays are busy from Ormond Quay to Bachelors Walk;
  • Traffic is building inbound on the Navan Road approaching the Ashtown roundabout;
  • It’s also busy southbound on Guild Street heading towards the Samuel Beckett Bridge, and eastbound delays on the Grand Canal approaching Harold’s Cross;
  • No delays have been reported for M50 traffic in either direction.

How is traffic where you are? Tweet us @thejournal_ie or email tips@thejournal.ie – but only when it’s safe to do so.

A nice sentiment to kick off your Friday!

Traffic seems to be moving well in many areas this morning.

This is partly due to the fact a lot of schools are closed today as they’re being used as polling stations.
