Concern for mother after human foetus discovered in Co Donegal

Gardaí are urging the mother to come forward in case she needs medical treatment.

A HUMAN FOETUS has been discovered in Brenter, Dunkineely, Co Donegal.

The foetus was found outside a property yesterday evening shortly after 5pm.

Gardaí say they are concerned for the welfare of the mother and are appealing for her to come forward in case she is suffering from any medical issues.

Medical tests indicate that the foetus was around 13 weeks’ gestation.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071 98 51102 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111. A garda spokesperson says that all calls logged to the 1800 line are treated in the strictest confidence.
