Americans have a higher opinion of toenail fungus and dog poop than of Congress

They do have a higher opinion of Congress than of Miley Cyrus and Anthony Weiner, however.

A NEW SURVEY has found that Americans highly disapprove of Congress with many saying they have a higher opinion of ghastly things like toenail fungus, dog poop and cockroaches.

A whopping 85 per cent of registered voters polled by Public Policy Polling said they disapproved of the job Congress is doing. According to the poll, Americans have a higher opinion of witches, hemorrhoids, cockroaches and toenail fungus.

When asked which they had a higher opinion of, 47 per cent said dog poop, while 40 per cent said Congress. Even government institutions like the DMV and the IRS are seen as more favourable than Congress currently, at 58/24 and 42/33 respectively.

There are some things they have a lower opinion of, including heroin, twerking, Miley Cyrus and Syria. At 42/33 and 50/23 respectively, participants also said they had a higher opinion of congress than of Honey Boo-Boo and Anthony Weiner.

Older voters disapprove of Congress at a higher rate than their younger counterparts. At
least 85 per cent of registered voters aged over 30 are critical of the legislature, compared to 70 per cent of those between the ages of 18-29.

The majority of people polled said they were moderate with 12 per cent claiming to be very liberal and 11 per cent saying they are very conservative.
