Now THAT'S a novel way to smuggle drugs

Thousands of euro worth of cocaine was found at a house in Cork yesterday, hidden in a box of sandals.

GARDAÍ AND THE Revenue’s Customs service have seized cocaine worth around €28,000, found hidden in a box of sandals.

The drugs were found at a house in Cork city yesterday.

A 22-year-old Nigerian woman has been arrested, and is still being questioned this evening under drug trafficking legislation.

Investigations are continuing.
