Four men arrested in Cork after high-speed garda chase

The men were spotted stealing items from a car by an off-duty garda.

FOUR MEN HAVE been arrested after being spotted stealing something from a car by an off-duty garda in Cork.

A garda spokesperson said four men , all aged in their late 20s, were observed taking items from a car in the Muskerry estate in Ballincollig at around 2.30pm yesterday.

The off-duty officer called it in and a chase followed, with gardaí from various local garda stations involved.

According to Cork’s 96fm, the men abandoned their car and fled on foot and three were arrested by gardaí with the fourth being tracked down some time later.

All four were scheduled to appear in court this morning.
