20-year-old injured in Cork shooting

The shooting took place last night in the Fairhill area.

GARDAÍ IN CORK are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in the Fairhill area of Cork City last night.

At approximately 11.30pm a 20-year-old male was injured during the incident. He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The scene is preserved by pending a forensic and technical examination which is expected to be carried out this morning.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact Gurranabraher Garda Station 021 4946200 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
