Teenager killed in crash involving truck in Co Cork

The teenager was killed in a crash that occurred between Ballinhassig and Innishannon at around 7:15am.

A TEENAGER HAS been killed in a two-vehicle collision on the N71 road in Cork this morning.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the fatal traffic collision that occurred between Ballinhassig and Innishannon at around 7.15am.

The crash involved a car and a truck. The driver of the car, a male in his late teens, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries are reported.

The road is currently closed with local diversions in place.

Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam footage, and were travelling in the area between 7.00am and 7.30am this morning are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
