11-year-old boy killed after bicycle crashed with car

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

AN 11-YEAR-OLD boy on a bike has died after a crash with a car in Offaly.

It happened in Marshbrook on the Old Dublin to Galway Road at 9.15 this morning.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination and traffic diversions are in place.  The body remains at the scene.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tullamore garda station on 057-9327600, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
