Section of M50 closed as emergency services deal with serious collision

One person was seriously injured in the crash.

GARDAÍ HAVE SAID a serious road collision has taken place on the M50 south today.

The incident occurred at Junction 6 Blanchardstown. One person is understood to have been seriously injured in the crash.

Units of Dublin Fire Brigade have been sent to the scene to assist:

Gardaí said traffic is being diverted up the Junction 6 slip road to rejoin the M50 as all three southbound lanes are closed. It is anticipated lane 3 will reopen shortly after a forensic collision examination by gardaí.
