Man killed after two trucks crashed with car in Mayo

The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his 30s has been killed in a three vehicle crash in Mayo.

A car and two articulated trucks were involved in the collision.

It happened on main Castlebar to Dublin Road on the N5 Knockbrack at around 5pm.

The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both drivers of the articulated trucks were seriously injured and have been taken to Mayo General Hospital. The men’s injuries are  not believed to be life threatening.

The scene is currently preserved for an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
