Young man dies after his car crashes in rural Tipperary

The crash happened this afternoon.

A MAN IN his 20s has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed in Co. Tipperary.

The crash happened on the R687 Poulmucka to Barne Road at about 1.30pm this afternoon.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and his body has not yet been removed to hospital.

The stretch of road where the accident occurred remains closed and local diversions are in place.

Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact gardaí at Cahir Garda Station or any other station.
