Man robs restaurant with a scissors but is followed by staff member - he now faces charges

The robbery happened on Dublin’s Werburgh Street yesterday morning.

A MAN WHO allegedly robbed at a restaurant armed with a scissors is due in court in Dublin this morning after he was tracked by a member of staff.

The incident happened at about 10.30am yesterday morning when the man entered a restaurant on Werburgh Street by himself and threatened staff with what is described as a scissors.

He left the premises with a sum of money but was followed for a distance by a member of staff. Gardaí from nearby Kevin Street responding to the robbery then arrested the culprit in a nearly housing complex following a search of the area.

The man who is in his 30s is scheduled to appear in court at 10.30 am in connection with the robbery.

Nobody was injured during the course of the incident.
