Irish criminal shot dead in the Costa del Sol

The 45-year-old died after being shot in a bar in the Elviria area of Marbella.

A 45-YEAR-OLD IRISHMAN has been shot dead in a bar on the Costa del Sol.

The attack happened shortly before 5pm last evening in the Elviria area, to the east of Marbella, according to Spain’s El Mundo. 

RTÉ reports that the man was a drug dealer and enforcer, and well known to Gardaí.

Emergency services received several calls from residents in the area who said they had heard gunshots, according to local reports.

Police then responded to the scene at Harmon’s Irish Bar, a spot popular with the Irish ex-pat community.

An investigation is under way.
