Significant delays to Dart services as truck hits level crossing barriers

Dublin Bus is accepting all valid rail tickets as it is unclear when the track will be cleared.

IRISH RAIL HAS said there are delays to all Dart services this morning due to a truck hitting level crossing barriers at Serpentine Avenue in Ballsbridge.

A spokesperson for Irish Rail said the truck driver sped up and caused damage to the barrier. The driver did not stay at the scene but Irish Rail has been able to identify the registration and details have been passed to gardaí.

“One person’s reckless action is causing disruption to both rail and road, ” they said.

However the debris has now been cleared and services have resumed with delays which are expected to ease throughout the morning.

Dublin Bus is accepting all valid rail tickets in the meantime.
