The Daily PollINDEPENDENT SENATOR DAVID Norris has been criticised for his comments in the Seanad yesterday in which he said Fine Gael TD Regina Doherty was “talking through her fanny” and referred to the “Regina monologues”.
Minister Brendan Howlin has said Oireachtas debates should not degenerate into personal animosity, while Doherty has described the comments as upsetting and sexist. Speaking on The Vincent Browne Show on TV3 last night, Doherty said the remarks were not acceptable in a professional workplace.
Doherty is to make a formal complaint to the leader of the Seanad over the comments.

The 2 Committees set up re water both recommended a Referendum to enshrine our water services and infrastructure in public ownership and this was agreed by majority n the Dail so how can a minority Government ignore those recommendations?Joan Collins’s Referendum Bill re same was agreed to in 2016& went to 2nd stage but delayed & now forgotten….but not by the public who don’t want our water services and infrastructure to be privatised!
If someone died who paid the water charges and then got a refund, where or how can the refund get cashed does anyone know?
