Here is the quickest way to defog car windows

Follow these tips to clear that haze in no time at all.

DO YOU EVER sit in your car on cold mornings wasting precious minutes waiting for your foggy windows to clear? Well, here are some time-saving car hacks to defog car windows quicker so you can get on the road sooner.

First for the science bit. The condensation inside your car is caused by the difference in outside/inside temperature and moisture levels. Outside it is cold and the air is dry and inside the car it is warm and the air has more moisture due to your body heat and breath.

The least pleasant way to defog your windscreen and rear window is to lower the inside temperature, which will stop the moisture causing the condensation.

Press the defrost buttons, turn the fan on high, turn the temperature down low and open the windows. This is the quickest way to dissipate the condensation.

If you are too cold to do it this way, the alternative way is to press the defrost buttons and turn the fan and heat up high and turn the a/c on (if you have it) and turn off the re-circulation function.

This method removes the humid air from the car and brings in dry air from outside.

As a bonus tip, keep your windows squeaky clean as clean windows fog up less often.
