Poll: Do you think plain cigarette packaging will deter smokers?

Plain packaging on cigarette packets is being discussed today in Leinster House.

TODAY A JOINT Oireachtas Committee on Health and Children will meet to discuss legislation that may introduce plain cigarette packaging on all cigarette packs.

Smoking

Health and children’s organisations have urged the government to introduce these measures stating that it will prove “vital” in protecting the next generation from the negative health effects of smoking.

In light of today’s proceedings in Leinster House today, we want to know what you think of it all: Do you think plain cigarette packaging will deter smokers?
