13-year-old girl from Donegal killed in car crash

The accident happened yesterday evening.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have named the 13-year-old girl who died in a traffic collision near Derry yesterday as Georgia Louise Doherty.

She was from Redcastle in County Donegal.

The PSNI is appealing for information and asking anyone who saw the incident to contact the Collision Investigation Team at Maydown police station in Derry.

The two-vehicle collision happened on Glenshane Road in Derry shortly after 5pm on Sunday.

The road was closed at its junction with the Tamnaherin and Tirbracken Roads but has since reopened.
