Man (80s) dies in Donegal house fire

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A MAN IN his 80s has died in a house fire in Donegal.

Emergency services arrived at the property on Pole Road in Meenmore, Dungloe, at 2.30am this morning.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the house, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
