A JACK-KNIFED truck has completely blocked a road in Co Limerick.

The incident happened on the N24 Limerick-Waterford road this morning at about 8.10am between Pallasgreen and Dromkeen.

No one is reported to have been hurt in the incident. The articulated truck, which appears to have shed some of its load, was the only vehicle involved. The reason behind the accident remain unclear.

The truck has blocked both lanes of the road with the site unlikely to be cleared for some time according to AA Roadwatch.

If your journey this morning takes you along the N24 it may make sense to take an alternative route.
