Three arrested after gardaí seized drugs from Meath house

Two men and one woman were arrested at the scene.

TWO MEN AND a woman were arrested after Gardaí seized cannabis plants worth an estimated €150,000 from a house in Meath.

As part of an ongoing investigation into drug dealing in the area, Gardaí carried out a search of the house in Wilkinstown at around 4pm on Monday afternoon.

During the search, equipment for cultivating cannabis plants was seized along with the plants.

Two men – one aged 59 and the other aged 34 – and a 32-year-old woman were all arrested at the scene and brought to Navan and Kells Garda stations for questioning.

The men were released from custody this afternoon and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. The woman is still in custody in Navan Garda station.
