Three biscuit tins full of cocaine were found by customs at Dublin Airport

A 39-year-old woman has been arrested.

COCAINE WORTH €250,000 has been found by customs officials after they searched three biscuit tins at Dublin Airport.

A total of 3.8kg of the drug was found after Revenue Officers stopped a Portuguese woman who arrived in Dublin off a flight from Dubai last night.

After she was stopped and questioned, the 39-year-old was found to be carrying the cocaine in three biscuit tins.

She was then arrested and detained by gardaí with investigations ongoing and prosecutions expected.

Revenue officials have estimated the value of the drugs at €250,000.
