Two men to appear in court charged in connection with €120k cocaine and cannabis seizure

Two men and a woman were arrested. The woman has since been released.

TWO MEN ARE to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court this morning charged in connection with the seizure of €120,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis herb in south Dublin yesterday.

The drugs, with an estimated street value of up to €120,000, were seized by gardaí yesterday as part of an operation tackling the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the south of the city.

Gardaí conducted a planned stop of a car on Camden Street yesterday morning. During the search of the car cocaine with an estimated street value of up to €20,000 (pending analysis) was seized and two men, aged 35 and 49 years, were arrested.

They are currently being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Donnybrook and Kevin Street garda stations.

In a follow up operation a house was searched in Ranelagh and cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €100,000 (pending analysis) was seized.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested at the scene. She has since been released without charge.

Separately, another man, aged in his 30s, is to appear before the Dublin District Court this morning.

His appearance relates to the uncovering of a cocaine stash house on Dublin’s Moore Street yesterday morning.

€115,000 worth of cocaine was seized in the operation.
