Man arrested following €1 million Offaly drug seizure to appear in court this morning

The man was arrested on Wednesday.

A MAN ARRESTED in relation to the seizure of over €1 million of cocaine and cannabis in Offaly is to appear before the courts this morning.

The man, who is in his 30s, was arrested during a search operation at a location near Geashill, Offaly, on Wednesday.

Gardaí said the raid was carried out  as part of ongoing investigations into organised criminal activity in the midland

A shotgun and large numbers of cartridges and rounds of ammunition were also recovered.

A garda spokesman said: “A man in his 30s who was arrested during a search operation at a location near Geashill on Wednesday is scheduled to appear before the Criminal Court of Justice at 11am charged in connection with the incident.”
