Man taken to hospital with chest injuries after garda raid

One man in his 40s has been arrested.

ONE MAN HAS been arrested and one man taken to hospital following a drug raid in County Carlow.

Gardaí arrested a man in his 40s and seized a quantity of drugs in a planned operation in Carlow town yesterday.

A second man in his 30s was taken to hospital with chest injuries. It’s believed he will also be arrested.

Shortly before 11am gardaí searched the house at Barrowvale in Carlow.

During the course of the search cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €80,000 were discovered.

The arrested man is being detained at Carlow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 and is expected to appear at Carlow District Court later this morning.
