The drugs were found during a planned search of two vehicles in Finglas in north Dublin on Tuesday and have been estimated to be worth €460,000.

After seizing the drugs, gardaí carried out further searches of a number of premises in the Finglas and Blanchardstown areas where a “substantial” amount of cash was recovered.

The exact sum has not been released, but photographs released by the gardaí show at least five large stacks of €50 notes.
