Over €440,000 worth of ecstasy and cocaine seized after men stopped in Dublin city centre

The men, both aged in their 20s, were searched on Aston Quay.

SOME €442,000 WORTH of drugs were seized in searches after two men were stopped in Dublin city centre yesterday.

The two men, both aged in their 20s, were found with ecstasy tablets after they were stopped and searched on Aston Quay.

A follow up search at an apartment on D’Oiler Street, Dublin 2 led to the discovery of cocaine and ecstasy tablets.

Ecstasy tablets with a street value of €418,000 were seized, while the cocaine had a street value of €24,000. A quantity of cash was also seized.

Both men are being held at Store Street Garda station under section two of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
