Two in court over giant €2 million cocaine and heroin seizure

Two men will appear before a special sitting of Kilcock District Court in connection with the drugs seizure at a house in Kildare.

TWO MEN WILL appear in court this afternoon charged in connection with a giant seizure of cocaine and heroin at a house in Kildare.

An estimated €2 million worth of drugs was seized when Gardaí searched the home in Johnstownbridge on Saturday afternoon.

Two men – one aged 40 and the other aged 53 – were arrested at the scene and detained at Leixlip Garda Station.

The men are due to appear before a special sitting of Kilcock District Court at 3pm today.

Gardaí said the seizure was part of an intelligence-led operation targeting the sale of illegal drugs.
