Two teens caught with cocaine worth over €85k

The drugs were found when gardaí searched their car.

TWO MALE TEENAGERS have been caught with over €85,000 worth of cocaine.

The two 18-year-olds were pulled over by gardaí at Neilstown Gardens in Dublin. When their car was searched, gardaí made the drugs discovery.

The two males were arrested and taken to Ronanstown Garda Station where they were detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The search was made as part of an on-going intelligence led operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in West Dublin.

One male has been charged this afternoon but released on bail. He is due in Blanchardstown District Court next month.

The other male was released without charge late last night and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
