Gardai issue appeal after woman in Dublin killed by own car

The incident occurred in Drumcondra this afternoon.

GARDAÍ IN DUBLIN are appealing for witnesses to an incident in Drumcondra in which a woman in her 60s was fatally injured by her own car.

The incident occurred on Millbourne Avenue, Drumcondra at about 1.15pm today.

The woman was taken to the Mater Hospital, where she pronounced dead.

Millbourne Avenue has been closed to facilitate a forensic examination of the scene.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or was on Millbourne Avenue, particularly if they were near the library, between 12.30pm and 1pm today to contact Santry Garda Station on 01 666 4000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111, or any garda station.
