Two babies delivered with help of Dublin firefighters this morning

Both mothers and babies are doing well.

DUBLIN FIREFIGHTERS ASSISTED with the delivery of two baby girls in Dublin this morning.

Baby Realtín was born at around 8am after two firefighter paramedics were called to a house in Terenure.

A spokesperson for Dublin Fire Brigade told TheJournal.ie that the mother is the sister to one of the guys who works in the control room.

Both mother and baby are reported to be doing well.

Meanwhile, another member of Dublin Fire Brigade, Stephen Cleary, assisted the delivery of a baby over the phone just hours previous at around 3am.

The baby girl was born in a house in Blanchardstown and was delivered when crews arrived.
