Man rescued by neighbours after Dublin house gutted by fire

The fire occurred overnight in the Lucan area.

DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE have shared a number of pictures of a house in the Lucan area of Dublin that was gutted by fire last night, saying it should act as an example.

Fire-fighters say that a man was rescued by his neighbours after closed bedroom doors gave him enough time to escape.

DFB say that the shut doors held back the blaze at the house and that closing doors should be a common safety precaution.
