No serious injuries after Luas and car crash in Inchicore

A dozen people were taken to hospital.

A DOZEN PEOPLE were rushed to hospital after a collision between a car and a Luas in Dublin last night.

The incident happened on Suir Road in Inchicore.

Gardaí said 12 people – ten men and two women, all aged between late teens to mid-30s, required medical assistance.

They were taken to St. James’ and Tallaght Hospitals.

None were seriously injured.

Dublin Fire Brigade has confirmed that it sent three fire engines and five ambulances to attend the scene.

Another five ambulances were also sent by the HSE.

The emergency call was received at 10.20pm last night.

The Luas has confirmed that service on the Red Line has now resumed.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision or anyone with information to contact them at Sundrive Road Garda Station on 01 666 6600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666111, or any Garda Station.
