Gardaí issue appeal for witnesses to shooting of four outside Dublin pub

A 28-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after the gun attack on the Old Cabra Road in which three women were also injured.

Updated 4.21 pm

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for any witnesses to the shooting of four people in Dublin overnight to come forward with information.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a car driving at speed away from the gun attack on the corner of the Old Cabra Road.

Gardaí say they are examining CCTV footage but at present do not have any further details on the car involved which they say may have been driving in an erratic manner.

Four people were injured, one of them critically, in the attack when a gunman opened fire at a group standing outside Hanlon’s Pub at about 2.30am.

The man was taken by ambulance to the Mater Hospital where his condition is described as serious.

The three women, aged 19, 28 and 33, were taken by ambulance to St James and Connolly Hospitals.

Gardaí say that the scene has been preserved for a forensic examination with no arrests made so far.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Bridewell Garda Station.
