Two injured after gunman shoots through window of house in Dublin

Both have been released from hospital.

A MAN AND a woman have been treated for injuries after being shot in Dublin.

The two were in a house in Cherry Orchard early this morning when a gunman fired through the window.

Both, who are in their 30s, received minor injuries and were taken to St James’s Hospital.

They have both been released since.

Local Sinn Féin TD Aengus Ó Snodaigh has condemned the attack.

“A lot of young families live in this area. Last night’s shooting put innocent lives at risk. Every effort must be made to bring the attackers to justice. The new government needs to prioritise tackling gun crime in the capital.”

Councillor Daithí Doolan, vice chair of Dublin’s policing board, said;

“We visited residents and neighbours this morning. They are living in fear after this attack.”
