Man in his 90s killed in road crash in Co Meath

A 91-YEAR-OLD man has died following a two-car collision at Dunboyne, Co Meath.

The crash happened on the R147 road at Pace near the town at about 12.55pm yesterday afternoon.

The man, who was the sole occupant of his car, was critically injured after he collided with a truck.

He was taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where he was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries in the accident.

A Garda forensic examination took place at the scene, and gardaí are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
