43-year-old man killed in Dundalk collision

The man was the sole occupant of the car in the single vehicle collision.

GARDAÍ IN DUNDALK are this morning appealing for witnesses of a fatal road collision to contact them. A 43-year-old man was killed in the single vehicle collision which occurred last night between 9.20 and 9.30pm on the Inner Relief Road, Marshes Lower.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was seriously injured in the collision and was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda where he was later pronounced dead.

The road is closed for a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place

Anyone who may have witnessed this collision or was on the Inner Relief Road, Marshes Lower at the time is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400, Garda Confidential Line 1-800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
