Poll: Was Eamon Dunphy's face-down-the-camera f-bomb apology really necessary?

Sorry is a five letter word.

BY NOW I’M sure you’ve seen Eamon Dunphy dropping the f-word live on pre-watershed RTÉ when cameras cut back to the studio without panelists knowing.

But probably even funnier than the actual swearing was Bill O’Herlihy teeing up Dunphy for a hilarious mea culpa for his ‘four letter’ indiscretion.

It was obviously a production mistake though, even Didi Hamann was caught on his phone, so could Billo not just have said a quick ‘sorry’ and moved on?
