Watch: Eamon Dunphy gets emotional over a pint

The outspoken broadcaster is close to tears as he chats with Ivan Yates about his wish for 2016.

EAMON DUNPHY COMES close to tears in a special Christmas programme being aired by TV3 this week.

The outspoken football pundit and journalist becomes teary-eyed as he discusses the homeless crisis on Ivan’s Celebrity Pub Crawl, which airs tomorrow night.

In the programme broadcaster Ivan Yates hits some of Dublin’s most high-profile pubs to review the year that was and look ahead to 2016. Rugby star Stephen Ferris and author Francis Brennan are among those taking part.

Asked by Yates for his one wish for 2016 Dunphy, who appears alongside musician Eleanor McEvoy, says he’d like people who are homeless to be housed.

I’d like them to be housed because it’s possible, if we put our mind to it, that all the people who suffered this year, at this time, were given a break.
