PIC: Has Eamon Gilmore just done a selfie in South Africa?

So, the Tánaiste does selfies… we think.

TÁNAISTE EAMON GILMORE is at the memorial service for the former South African president Nelson Mandela being held in Soweto this morning.

Gilmore is attending the service with former workers at Dunnes Stores and has taken time out to do this with one of them:

Yep, looks like a selfie and probably the first from a senior government minister.

But is it?

Photography experts * have told TheJournal.ie that it bears some hallmarks of being a selfie in that Gilmore’s left shoulder is higher than his right shoulder and the graininess of the photo would indicate it is one of those front-facing cameras.

But we’re not sure, so let us know what you think in the comments.
